Save Edl as Omf

To Save the Edl as an Omf:

1. Select the window of the Edl to convert and save as Omf.

2. From the Convert menu, click Save as Omf.
   
   The Save Omf Dialog box appears (See below)

3. On the Save Omf Dialog - Select Omf output options.

4. On the Save Omf Dialog -

5. 1. Click the Save As... button.
      
      A Windows Save As dialog appears

   2. Navigate to the desired drive/folder.

   3. Type a file name or accept the default

   4. Click Save
      
      The selected save path and file name appear in the Save Omf Dialog

5. On the Save Omf Dialog - Click OK.
   
   The Omf will be saved with the selections.
    

The Omf Save Dialog is used to select Omf output options and to select a save path and file name.

NOTES: The resulting Omf will contain:

• Composition Title derived from the Edl Title.

• Source Clip names derived from the Edl reel-name plus a "." (period) and an incrementing number.

• The Edl will be automatically cleaned and processed to ensure data integrity for conversion to Omf.

• Edl edit data is limited, so the resulting Omf contains only the available information.
